What Truck Should You Buy To Pull Horse Trailers

“What kind of truck should I have to pull horse trailers?“
This is a very common question. It happened to me when I first decided that I needed to be able to haul my horse to the vet or to the shows without having to beg a ride from a friend.
And so many times, friends don’t like to haul for other people because of liability issues. I have even had them tell me they don’t want to get their trailer messed up. So it can be hassle trying to drum up a trailer to use.
So when I went out truck shopping, I needed to know ahead of time what size and weight the trailer would be, so I would get the right size truck.
Now, the salesman will try and sell you whatever they have the most of , or will get the highest commission for. Which I totally understand that, but they should still be honest with their customers about the size truck that you need.

Have you been shopping for used horse trailers? It is a big world out there when it come to the different brands and all the different features. From a small two horse to large 6 or 8 horse trailers with living quarters.
But when I have been shopping for used horse trailers there are three things that are a must have, no matter what brand or style.
